Fabric Description: This is a lightweight with slight chirimen (crepe) silk originally for use in making a kimono; the fabric is a bokashi (gradation shading) background of light peach and ivory colors; motif is a minimalist, evocative of ikebana, with butterflies on sparsely-leaved branches; Colors are mostly pastel shades of m oss-green, brown tans and white; Please see close-ups; print -- designs on one side, somewhat visible on reverse; no sheen, slight drape; this chirimen crepe is not as textured as chirimen from earlier periods so is only slightly textured to the touch.
About Pictures: Please NOTE that colors and contrast differ on each device so please use our text descriptions to complement your sense of the fabric.
